Connect Gmail and add glue to Claude Desktop to start building your index.

Activity
Every tool Claude called, in order.
1 · Add glue to Claude Desktop
—Install the Glue extension, then restart Claude Desktop. Glue keeps running in the background and answers Claude's questions from your local index.
Other clients (Claude Code, etc.)
Any MCP host that takes a config file can run the engine over stdio instead:

2 · Connect your Gmail
Connect an account under Gmail accounts below. Ingestion is read-only — glue reads your mail into the local index and never writes to it without your click.
How it works
- Ask Claude Desktop something like “what needs a reply today?”
- It calls glue's tools over MCP — every call is listed under Activity on Home.
- For a send or trash, Claude stages it — review it on Home and commit. Nothing leaves without that click.
Graph
Explicit links, entity edges and semantic neighbours across the whole index. A diagnostic view — it shows that structure exists rather than answering a question, which is why People groups by organisation instead.

Keyboard
Everything is reachable without the mouse. These work when a list has focus and you are not typing in a field.
- ⌘K
- Search everything
- j k
- Move down / up a list
- ↵
- Open the selected item
- e
- Archive the open email
- u
- Mark the open email read or unread
- esc
- Close search or a dialog
Gmail accounts
Register one Desktop app OAuth client in Google Cloud (shared across accounts), paste its client ID + secret, then add accounts. Mail ingestion is read-only; sends/trashes are always staged.
Connecting an account grants Gmail, Calendar, Drive (app files only) and Sheets. New scopes need a fresh consent — re-add an existing account to update its permissions.
Zoom off
Connect a user-managed Zoom OAuth app (only the meeting:write:meeting scope) so glue can create a Zoom meeting for an event. The join link is added to the event and sent to guests through your connected Google account. Register the redirect http://localhost:8723/ in your Zoom app.
Local folders
Markdown source of truth + downloaded attachments — accessible to Claude Desktop's filesystem.

AI actions off
One-off, button-triggered assists inside glue — like ✨ Make task on an email — run on the local model (—). No API key, no account, no network: they keep working offline. Bulk work stays on the Claude Desktop + MCP path, where Claude supervises.
Index health
What Claude can actually see. A chunk with no vector is invisible to semantic search.

Your licence is perpetual — glue keeps working. The date above is when new versions stop being offered, not when the app stops.

Then drag Glue out of Applications. The app itself is the only part macOS removes for you.
