Glue

Terms of Use

Glue Labs Private Limited · Last updated 25 August 2026

These terms cover Glue, the macOS application, supplied by Glue Labs Private Limited ("we", "us"). By installing or using Glue you agree to them.

The licence

When you buy Glue you are buying a licence to use it, not the software itself. The licence is:

We say this plainly because it is unusual: we cannot switch off software you have bought. If your update period ends, Glue keeps running.

The trial

Glue works for seven days without a licence, with no account and no payment details. After that a licence is needed to keep using it. Nothing you have indexed is taken away or locked up either way: it is in files on your Mac, licensed or not.

Payment and refunds

Prices are shown at purchase and include applicable taxes where we are required to charge them. Payment is handled by our payment provider, who may act as merchant of record; we do not receive or store your card details.

If Glue does not do what this site says it does, write to us within 30 days of purchase and we will refund you. You do not need to justify the request.

If you are a consumer in the UK or EU you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days. By downloading and activating Glue during that period you agree the supply begins immediately and acknowledge that you lose that statutory right on activation — the 30-day refund above applies regardless, and is more generous.

What you may do with it

Anything the software allows, on your own material, including using it commercially. Your files remain yours; we claim no rights over anything you create, store or index with Glue.

You may not:

Training your model

Glue can train its local model on your corrections. This is opt-in and happens one run at a time: there is no standing permission and no background training.

The training set is prepared on your Mac. It is a small subset of your material, curated for the thing you are teaching and stripped of personally identifying information before it leaves. You see it before you approve it, and nothing is sent if you do not.

We run the training on rented GPUs and send you back the result, which is a small adapter file that runs on your Mac. The training set is deleted when the run finishes. We do not use it to train anything of ours, and we do not use it for any purpose other than the run you asked for.

Third-party services

Glue connects to services you choose — your Google account, Claude Desktop, feeds you add. Those are governed by their own terms, and their availability is not something we control. If Google changes an interface or Anthropic changes a product, features that depend on them may change or stop.

Warranty

Glue is provided as is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will suit a particular purpose.

Keep your own backups. Glue reads your mail without modifying it. We have designed it so that a failure does not destroy your material. No software is a substitute for a backup.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to Glue is limited to what you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost data or business interruption.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Ending the licence

You may stop using Glue at any time. We may end a licence used in breach of these terms, for instance shared publicly or used to circumvent the licence check. Where the breach can be put right, we will ask you first.

Changes

We may change these terms for future purchases. The terms you bought under continue to govern your licence.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of protections available under the law of your own country of residence.
